1. The Aerogel Philosophy: Absolute Zero Data
At Aerogel, we build Truly Undetectable Real-Time AI. Our fundamental, uncompromising philosophy regarding your data can be summarized simply: We do not collect it, we do not store it, and we do not sell it.
True privacy is achieved by engineering software so that the creator is technically incapable of invading it. Aerogel is designed to give you complete sovereignty over your AI interactions. Whether you operate entirely on your own hardware or route requests to external cloud intelligence, Aerogel never acts as a surveillance layer.
2. What We Do Not Collect
Standard privacy policies list what a company collects. Because our platform is architecture-blind to user tracking, here is what we explicitly do not collect, log, or view:
- Personal Identification Information (PII): We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials. Aerogel does not require an account to function.
- Telemetry & Analytics: We do not track features you click, session lengths, browser types, or software fingerprints.
- Device & Location Data: We do not track IP addresses, MAC addresses, or GPS coordinates.
- Aerogel-Side Prompt Logging: We do not operate central servers that intercept, cache, or log the text, code, or data you input into the AI.
- Financial Data: Any software licensing payments are handled exclusively by secure, third-party payment gateways. We never see or store your payment details.
3. Hybrid Processing: Local vs. Cloud Providers
Aerogel operates on a flexible, user-configured architecture. Your data routing depends entirely on the AI backend you choose to plug into the system:
Option A: 100% Local Execution
If you configure Aerogel to use a local LLM backend on your own machine, your prompts and data never leave your physical device. Processing is fully isolated, offline, and secure.
Option B: Third-Party Providers
If you opt to connect an external cloud intelligence provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, or others), Aerogel routes your real-time requests directly to that chosen provider.
When using a Third-Party Provider, Aerogel acts strictly as a **secure, ephemeral conduit**. Your requests are transmitted in real-time to the provider to fetch your AI response. We do not copy, store, or inspect these payloads on our way through.
4. Third-Party Provider Privacy Policies
Because choosing a cloud provider means your prompts travel to their servers, your data handling is subject to their specific terms of service and privacy frameworks.
We strongly encourage you to review the data retention and training policies of whatever provider you choose. Many commercial AI providers offer settings to disable AI model training on API requests, and because Aerogel allows you to use your own direct API pipelines, you can tailor your data arrangement with those providers exactly how you see fit.
5. We Do Not Sell Your Data (Because We Can't)
Aerogel does not sell, lease, rent, or trade your data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties. This is an engineering reality: because we do not collect or centralize your prompts, histories, or identities, we have zero data to monetize. You are our customer, not our product.
6. Cookies and Tracking Scripts
Our website and applications are free of tracking mechanisms. We do not use marketing cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party web analytics (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixels). Your web visits are as anonymous as your software usage.
7. Security & The "Nothing to Breach" Standard
Traditional software companies maintain massive databases that are constant targets for data breaches. Aerogel protects your privacy through omission. Because we do not store chat logs, API payloads, or user tracking data on our infrastructure, an attacker breaching Aerogel would find absolutely nothing to steal.
8. Law Enforcement and Subpoenas
If we are ever served a subpoena or legal warrant from government or law enforcement agencies demanding user data, our answer will be immediate: We possess no records to provide. We do not log your cloud keys, your prompts, or your identities, making it physically impossible for us to turn over your AI usage history.
9. Compliance with Global Privacy Frameworks (GDPR / CCPA)
Aerogel is inherently structured to comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar global frameworks. While these regulations give you rights to view and delete stored data, Aerogel fulfills this by maintaining a true zero-data footprint from day one.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this document as our ecosystem grows or to reflect new local integrations. However, our foundational rules will never change: we will never intercept your data, we will never log your cloud prompts, and we will never monetize your privacy.
